The Va Creeper Trail stretches 34 miles from the Virginia/North Carolina border at Whitetop Station 17 miles downhill along the beautiful, trout filled Whitetop Laurel Creek to the beautiful adventure town of Damascus. This former rail bed continues through lovely farmland and up to the quaint historic town of Abingdon, Virginia. Cars not obeying the rules are subject to being towed. Whitetop Station is in a different county (Grayson County) than Damascus (Washington County) so cars that have been towed are taken to Independance, VA a little more than an hour drive from Damascus.
